About Training Trails

Where Understanding Transforms Every Walk.

Training Trails was founded on the belief that dogs benefit most from walks that offer more than physical exercise alone.

We focus on providing structured, enriching walks that support your dog’s wellbeing, confidence, and enjoyment of the world around them.

Our approach is guided by an understanding of canine behaviour and individual needs.

When dogs are walked with care and intention, it gives owners peace of mind too.

Our Story

Training Trails began with a simple realisation: walking dogs is easy but supporting them to thrive takes more.

Through learning about canine behaviour and working hands-on with dogs from a range of backgrounds, I gained a deeper appreciation of what dogs need beyond exercise alone.

I created Training Trails to offer walks that nurture good habits and provide real-world enrichment — leaving dogs feeling balanced, confident, and fulfilled.

Our Approach

Every adventure blends exercise, mental engagement, skill reinforcement, and structured social time into a fulfilling, thoughtful experience.

Your dog might practise loose-lead walking, engage in scentwork, or simply enjoy the freedom of nature-based exploration. All under guidance that respects their pace, personality, and needs.

By working in carefully matched groups or individually, we ensure every dog receives exercise and meaningful experiences that support their wellbeing.

Our Qualifications

Guided by Knowledge. Grounded in Experience.

Real peace of mind comes from knowing your dog is supported by skill, care, and commitment.

I hold a Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma with Distinction (BCCSDip.AdvCanBhv), earned over three years through the British College of Canine Studies. I’m currently studying for a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Health and Nutrition — deepening my understanding of how physical wellbeing influences behaviour.

Training Trails is fully insured, Disclosure Scotland checked, first-aid trained, registered as a professional dog walking service with The City of Edinburgh Council, and accredited through the Dog Walkers & Sitters Association — because excellence in care should never be optional.
